But why do you feel it is necessary?

No, why do you need an anti-spyware program in Linux? The reason that spyware exists is because of the vulnerabilities inherent in Windows OS's, Linux does not have these same vulnerabilities.
Also, the newest version requires validation, which in under Wine i'm sure would fail, miserably ;)

Why on gods green earth would you want to do that????

You don't need stuff like that in Linux.
It's a whole different platform and i'ts not vulnerable to viruses and spyware-----Are you trying to run this for another drive as slave on a NTFS partition for some repair?
