Why do I have such dark skin under my arms and on my bikini line?

Its not hair, cos even just after I shave its still there. How do I get rid of it? Waxing doesn't help either...

The dark skin results from the friction of two areas of skin rubbing together. You can lighten it with skin brighteners and other home remedies (check online), but it won't go away completely unless you lose weight, which will stop the skin from rubbing.
