I think someone asked this same question earlier, but the roots are:

x = 4
x = 12134
x = 18925
x = 73527

The solver I used to get the answers is below.

Hm, actually YOU were the one who asked it earlier...

Ok I found this hint on geocaching.com:

"Look for a "calculator" to do the math. But that is only part of the puzzle. Three solutions are a kind of number you see almost every day (and the fourth solution is important too). Go to official government sources for the best info. If you need another hint, send me mail."

So clearly the 3 5-digit numbers are intended to be zip codes.

12134 is Northville, NY
18925 is Furlong, PA
73527 is Cache, OK

So if I were guessing, I'd say that the "cache is 4 furlongs (1/2 mile) north" of lat="44.843917" lon="-93.3965"?

- - - - - - - -

OK, fine, I found a lat-long calculator and played with it until I figured out what measurement would be exactly 1/2 mile north of N 44° 50.635 W 93° 23.790.

The answer is N 44° 51.069 W 93° 23.790, verified on Geochecker.

The Lat-Long calculator I used is below.
