So, first, go to wikipedia.com (or similar encyclopedia/book notes)
read the synopsis.
Read the very beggingin, read the very end, pick random parts in the middle, make sure you read all the main events, and only a little of the minor ones.
Then, (if you need to talk about it, or write a paper) elaborate on the big things that you read first, and the discuss the few little things that you read in great detail (so that you communicate the point that you have meticulously read every page of the monster)

It's not healthy to do that. The longest book I've ever read in a day like 700 pages. 9900 pages? You'll burn you eyes out! Not healthy.

Read the first paragraph of each chapter (does it have chapters?) and the last - skim the rest of the chapter. Maybe write down a little bit - key words or characters - so you can attempt to put it together in the end.
What book is this? I think the longest I've read was Gone With the Wind, Talisman and the Stand. I'm sure I haven't gone over 1300 pages.
Like the audio idea, too.

How will your wrists hold up a 9900 page book for two days?

Can't happen. You would have to read 3.4375 pages per minute straight for 48 hours.
That and you wouldn't even be able to comprehend a word of it.
Sorry!

9900 pages in 2 days? Well, that would be 4450 pages a day, 206.25 pages an hour, so 3.4 pages per minute. I'd suggest you get started.

You don't, unless you're willing to give your whole two days to that book. Especially if the print is small. God, you are in deep trouble if this is a project.

well that's not going to be very fun.
i don't think that you would be able to finish it in between eating and sleeping. you might be able to get like 2000 pages done....but not much more.
