I hate rap, I think it's awful.

Picture yourself in 20 or 30 years, are you going to be playing these songs thinking , God I Loved that song, Well I do, to the music I grew up with. I BET YOU rap lovers WON'T.

To all people trying to ACT, TALK, LOOK, CONVERSE like a REAL gangster, you LOOK like FOOLS !, and that's what people think of you when you're on the street, in your car, at work, it's not cool, you Look stupid and attention starved, SO leave the gangsta life to the professionals.

And pick an instrument, learn it, learn it real good, do us all a favor, then tell me rapping takes as much talent as REAL musician, Alot of Rockers are trained in classical music . RAP SUCKS MAJOR *** !!!, spitting crap into a mic, glorifying poor morals.

And what's the deal with sub-woofers, WHO the Hell wants sloppy bass???. Bass should be tight, real tight. You know what?-Screw sub-woofers too!

And pull up your frickin pants !!!

And YES I have to listen to this crap, I don't control the volume in others people's stereos .I've listened to it 10hrs. a day, weeks on end, different stations, and you know what?, it still is Frickin awful, I gave it a shot, stills sucks ***, in fact, listening to it more, just reassured what crap it is!

I most certainly will over power it and drown that crap out at every chance I get.

Lia musically you have a competent element with extensive form 3; quite some exact musicians that fairly play gadgets haven't any know for rap song in any respect via fact this is fairly common structurally, or despite intensity comes approximately is by technique of desktops. yet you ought to hear lots of the stay bands obtainable, like the Roots, or ineffective Prez; you may exchange your innovations. so a techniques as actual hip-hop, definite it does take quite some skills, extreme skills, metaphors, wordplay, complicated rhyme platforms. Jay-Z's terrific grew to become into fairly on considered one of his worst albums, American Gangster. Biggie made it look rather, rather hassle-free. Nas is distinctly tight to in case you're able to make an effort out to take heed to him, becuase he's not all that trouble-free to take heed to. Mos Def has it in case you may sit down by using this open verse overall performance artwork, broken spoken be conscious, etc. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that that's there and was once par for the direction 2 an prolonged time in the past; was once a prerequisite to getting signed. not sure what the hell befell today.

I starred this question because it is a good way to catch someones eye. I do listen to a variety of music and I do believe that alot of rap music is unnecessary. With that being said, there are still some hip hop rap that has good dance beats and also some that do deliver a positive message. I think that if we look hard enough, we could find something wrong with at least one song in each classified group.

Heh...like "robinhorules" said, you obviously have only been exposed to mainstream rap. Then again, I guess I can't blame you for thinking that those things are all rap music has to offer, considering that mainstream mess (which pales in comparison to real hip hop, mind you) is all they show us on TV and broadcast to us on the radio. But just like any other genre of music, not all rap music is the same. There are many hip hop artists out there who have positive things to say and talk about subjects other than materialism, misogyny and murder, but you definitely won't find them in the mainstream. All the real hip hop artists are either "on the backburner" (not quite underground, but not quite mainstream) or in the underground circuit. And as for your original statement, "rap music takes no talent..."

For the many talented hip hop artists out there, being a good emcee is equivalent to being a performance poet. You have to have a very extensive vocabulary as well as a fantastic handle on the English language (synonyms, antonyms, etc.). You have to be familiar with similes and metaphors. You have to have confidence and stage presence. You have to have good delivery. You have to have a great memory (and if you freestyle, you have to think quick on your feet and be able to adapt). And on top of all that, you have to have a sense of rhythm so you can recite it all to a beat...and you assume being an emcee requires no talent? Ha...please.

Reading is fundamental, people.

What kind of Rap are YOU listening to?? Probably mainstream rap that sells BECAUSE of the things you listed. They keep coming out with that BS rap about money, sex and all b/c that's what ppl listen to. If they didn't they wouldn't make it. It sucks, I know but hey, what can you do about society? They buy the music, it keeps coming! I hate it also. You gotta look deeper to find the REALLY talented rap artists who talk about what they know and what is real. Stuff like that you can't find in mainstream rap.
