Yes, I was abused by my father, and so were my sisters. But we didn't allow it to ruin our lives. We were all stubborn enough and strong enough that we wouldn't give him the satisfaction of letting him think he had ruined us. It still haunts me from time to time (I'm 51 now) but not enough that it controls my life. He passed away several yrs ago, and since then I have been able to say that I forgive him, but that doesn't mean that I think what he did was ok. It just allows me to go on with my life, knowing that I am not letting the past control me. Lots of people have had bad childhood experiences, and we can either let them make us a better person, to tear us apart. I chose to become a better person.

You definitely don't have a doctorate.

Yes, abuse will cause psychological problems in the future. However, it does not mean all men are cruel dogs, although some are and have done horrible things such as abuse.

This shouldn't even be in this category.

Yeh, There were 3 girls in my family & we all were abused by my step father. One sister uses that as an excuse to be a crack addict. For me it justs makes me very cautious with my daughter. I don't think men are all dogs but I'm not that trusting. All in all I think I turned out ok. Try & give someone a chance, there really are some good ones out there

No, I haven't been abused, but I think someone is falling into the stereotype world. Most men aren't dogs. Just a few.
Haven't you ever had one good guy friend?

Nah just my biological mother.. and i wouldnt classify it as abuse.. it was just sexual...

(my parents didnt raise me BTW.. just lived 3 miles up the road)

I'll grant you most men are dogs.. But you have to grant me most females are evil C**T's then.. kindda makes it an even playing field

As for messing up my mind? Hardly.. ya'll dont have the intelligence or power to do that.. I messed it up on my own.. silly humans..

Nope, I have a great dad. But my step-sister was abused by her father and grandfather and she is all f*cked up. Poor thing... she still is haunted by it.
