i'm not sure what you're talking about. it's not a customary thing. if anyone's doing that, it's anorexic college girls. i was just eating with some people the other day and every plate was empty, except mine because i just wasn't very hungry. and that's the other thing... the portions are so big here, a lot of times i can't eat all that food.

I don't think its "customary" its just because we are stuffed and can't eat anymore. I do hear in Japan it is considered polite to leave some food on your plate though.

this all started with females. we don't eat all the food so we don't look like we eat like a football player. then we go home and finish the rest of our meal

cuz us fatties are trying to lose weight. and the ones that go waay overbord with that are the girls that are 5'9" and weigh 102 lbs
