Former Minnesota North Star Jack Carlson was a fun one to watch at the old Met. Now I like to watch Derek Boogaard knock the crap out of anybody who is stupid enough to drop the gloves with him.

Rob Ray has always been one of my favorite players on and off the ice. He could sucker guys into throwing punches like nobody else during a game. While he was playing and now that he's retired, he did and does tons of community outreach work and volunteering; he just participated in a Sabres alumni versus faculty charity basketball game at my old high school a few months ago. I really don't think there are too many goon/fighters left in today's NHL, certainly not like there used to be, so I'll leave the second half of this question unanswered.

Haven't watched long enough to really say an all-time. As to current what goons? Closest to a goon is Ruutu and he is just an annoying bastard most of the time, and I say this as a Pens fan. That is why they got him though, to be annoying. Got in a nice little fight yesterday though. Always fun to watch someone win with three good uppercut jabs.

Gordie Howe in the old days. A 6 time Art Ross winner, he was still the most dangerous fighter. Now--Laroque followed by McGratton from the Sens.

I dont know about using the word goon, but some of the best i've seen is Tony Twist, Kelly Chase and Owen Nolan. Being a sharks fan, i have seen Nolan fight night-after-night, trying to bring respect to the franchise and i have never seen him lose one or even come close to losing one.

Favorite of all time would have to be Bryan "Bugsy" Watson. I said favorite, not the best! Little guy that didn't take anything from anybody. Would drop the gloves if a guy looked at him wrong! He stood all of about 5'9'' but would pick on the other teams biggest guy. Lotta heart, but lost a lotta fights. Matthew Barnaby would have to be right up there today.

I always like Tiger. I gave Domi a lot of credit for being a tough guy who is not a big guy, although I don't know where he's going with that Belinda thing? Brash seems like the current champ to me.

All time: Bob Probert

Right now...I would say I don't really have a favorite since they don't let anyone fight. I liked Eric Cairns when he was on the Islanders and kicked Shayne Corsons butt in the '01-'02 Playoffs
