It is exactly related to whatever you have running on your machine every piece of hardware draws power, the more you have on it, the more it takes. There is no real exact answer to that question. It can vary on older computers to under 100 watts peak and on newer ones peak well over 400 and even 500 watts

For the most part, it depends on the cpu type and video card.
Assuming you have a high end video card and, say, a Pentium 4 (prescott edition), you're looking at about 220W at idle. If you're playing a game with demanding graphics, expect about 300W+

Vague question. What do you have running on your computer.
If it is minimal video cards and drives, then about 250 watts to 750 watts for the high speed end.
