Not with cable. Depending on what your trying to do you don't need a dialup account, certain things can be dialed direct with a modem if you have one around.

Hmmmm, i'm sure they do exist. Just not here in CA. They only reason I can see for still having a dial up connection would be price. I'm sure dial up is half the price of having Comcast or another internet provider. Dial up is so slow, I'm not sure why anyone would still have it.

I would think that there has to be a way to do this. Hackers have been coming up with ways of doing other things, why not this? And if not why not?
