There quite possibly isn't a better song.

My Ding a Ling, by Chuck Berry

When I was a little bitty boy
my grandmother bought me a cute little toy
Silver bells hangin' on a string
she told me it was my ding a ling

My ding a ling, my ding a ling
I want to play with my ding a ling
My ding a ling, my ding a ling
I want to play with my ding a ling

And then mother took me to Grammar School
But I stopped all in the vestibule
Every time that bell would ring
catched me playin' with my ding a ling

Once I was climbing the garden wall
I slipped and had a terrible fall
I fell so hard I heard bells ring
but held on to my ding a ling

Once I was swimming cross Turtle creek
many snappers all around my feet
Shure was hard swimming cross that thing
with both hands holdin' my ding a ling

This here song it ain't so sad
the cutest little song you ever had
those of you who will not sing
You must be playin' with your own ding a ling
My ding a ling

Check out Peter Gabriel's song Solsbury Hill (I think that is spelled correctly, not 100% sure). It's an upbeat and uplifting song, very inspirational. Hope that helps ;-)

I'm sorry to hear about your family
this is a good song that makes you feel ok
even though someone has died it lets you know that its ok & that your life & your family's life won't end

Sorry to hear of your loss. Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up" is very inspirational and, erm, uplifting. Also, I'm pretty partial to jazz, and "Body and Soul" by John Coltrane is pretty cheery.

Well....when I went through some spiritual warfare several years ago....the Lord game me this song..."Victory in Jesus...victory in love...victory in Jesus from up above...Victory in Jesus...victory in love....victory in Jesus from up above." When ever something troubling is happening....and I sing that....it gives me a lift....I feel safe. Maybe it was meant for me....but I don't mind sharing it if it would help you.
