writing a biography?

Im a 50 yo nurse who had a patient who is an older uneducated poor mexican who has lived in the US for the last 25 years. This mans life would make for a good biography, especially with the immigration issues here in the US. If I should be lucky enough to have this book published, what % profit should I share with this man?

ethically? I'd say 75% (to him)its his story yer just the scribe.. (big deal you can get those anywhere) As an American ? Oh you should soak him for at least 85% (for you) of the profits if not more...
