I think people need to start realizing that what happened to Iraq could happen to us. What happens if enough countries get together and decide the U.S. is a threat to the rest of the world and decide to invade us? We need to do some very serious damage control.

This is one of the side effects of tyranny. A few years after WWII ended, the arms race began with USA and USSR in the Cold War. The fact the Cold War lasted as long as it did, along with the willingness by both countries (and both political parties in the USA, if you are truly honest) helped to create the strength of the USA. Personally, I do not believe that this was any kind of abuse of power on either side. Back to the point, when the Cold War ended, there were no other countries that had the ability on so many levels to influence the course the world has taken.

I think it is a misnomer to say that the USA is the boss. The USA has simply been fortunate to have the economic, social, defensive, and technology advances that have come about during that time. That doesn't make the USA a bad country. Any country with the same ability would have influenced the course of humanity also, but I do think few nations would have been so thoughtful and considerate of other nations, as well as humanity as a whole.

Somewhere along the way... we in the U.S. began believing our own publicity. We seem to think we are the greatest, the richest , the smartest...and we are very very good. I am not putting down our country.. but it is time we started being more tolerant and taking some time to actually ask questions and learn about other people.

We love the freedom we live in and enjoy, but we must remember all countries are not the same as us. And also remember that for all our supposed greatness.. we have a lot of problems too...we just don't like to air them.

What kind of American are you when you diss your own country? Don't you have any pride? The US is the sole Superpower and we have the ability to provide relieve in the world unlike any other nation and cause of that many nations look to us for when disaster strikes, yet they still hold the right to ***** at us afterwards after they leeched off our funds. Get a history book and read about how the US became the Superpower it is today. It's not that hard.

The UN died and we were left in charge.

We don't make the rules, unfortunately. The UN is supposed to be the boss, but they're so corrupt and incompetent that the US has to step in and do their work for them. And then everyone complains because no one else has the guts to take on the terrorists when they break the UN rules.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Who besides Britain, Australia and a handful of others would you trust? Who else has the economy or the military might to be number one? Instead of hating it, be glad your part of it!

How easy it is to criticize when your not on the outside looking in.

Everywhere in Nature, be it in the jungle or in human affairs, the bigger and stronger rule the rest. Would you rather China rule? The people who force women to have abortions if they have more than one child.
