Here is a list of pet stores around you.. You can always call them and see what kinda of dog breeds they carry.. animal shelters are always the best way to start looking for a dog. And just think that if you get one from a shelter thats one less dog being put to sleep.

Do not buy a dog from a pet store! Many pet stores get their dogs from puppy mills. Although the dog may be registered, their health is often poor.
Try a local animal shelter. I don't know if Auburn has one, but I do know that Kent, Puyallup, and Tacoma all have one as well as King County.
Petfinder is a great search tool. They have dogs that have been rescued and need good homes. www.petfinder.com
Contrary to what the previous poster said, Petsmart does *not* sell cats or dogs. They work with local shelters to adopt out homeless pets.

Instead of buying a dog at a pet store or someone on Craigslist, go to the local humane society and adopt a dog. Your adoption fee will probably be less than anywhere else. A lot of the local pet supply stores also have the local humane society bring in dogs that are available for adoption. You will also know that they have all of their shots and are in good physical condition.
Our first dog we adopted from the Humane Society in Kitsap County and she was a wonderful dog for us.

I am not entirely sure, but you may be able to check on craigslist ( www.craigslist.com) for animals for sale in your area.
