It depends on what you need. If you want photos and videos, go for the video iPod.
I recommend the black 8GB iPod nano.
The other ones are too big and bulky or too small and unefficient. The one I told you is sleek, sexy, and useful.
I sound like a salesperson...if you want real quality, get a Zune or an iriver clix. Those are more or less better than an iPod.
