Elon is An African American Boy Name .My Grandfather's Name is Elon.Elon Means Spirit.I Love That name.

I don't know anyone personally named Elon but just hearing it I would think it was a boys name.
Kind of reminds me of Elias which is a boys name too.

Well I would suggest if you gave it to a boy - he will be teased horribly at school as being called "Helen"
for a girl it would be "ok" but the name is still perhaps an acquired taste. Perhaps using it as a middle name might be kinder to the child?

Elon. It's pretty. I think it's more of a guy name, though, 'cause for a girl, it would be Elona, Alona, or Eliana.
