This is a very common problem that you share with many people, but be prepared for those who do not understand your dilemma and pooh, pooh the idea! If you are correct in your assumption that 'we' do not exist then it's fair to assume that you don't exist! For how can you? a entity in a vacuum! nothing to sustain you! no purpose! No reason to exist! And further more! No mind to exist with! The full circle! right? Of course we exist! and you too! I've just felt my self, and yes I'm here o.k.! You have a good day with all of us! Lol.

Relax. You are stressing yourself out unncessarily! Look at concrete things around you. Look at the ceiling. Look at the floor. Find something in the room that's white. Take a deep breath. Feel comforted by concrete reality. Be in present time. Your panic is what is not real. There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear is pretty scary! Stop torturing yourself thinking too much!

Just keep taking deep breaths. Calm yourself down. Maybe exercise a little to exhaust yourself then have a nap. Everything exists. Philosophy shouldn't cause you so much torment. It is possible to overanalyze too much. Try just living in the tangible world for a bit & give your mind a bit of a break. Enjoy what you can experience with your senses. This is real. Anything you see, hear, smell, touch, taste. Savour it. Focus on your breathing. This is real. Relax. You are ok.

Get some rest. You may be sleep deprived. If you don't get enough sleep then your mind starts playing tricks on you. I get the sense that someone who thinks & worries like you may have insomnia.

If you keep feeling this way, speak to someone. Talk to your doctor.

Don't stress...find your zen...

Consider that even if everything, in this moment, is real, it will be no more in the next moment. Real or not, reality is temporary. Reality changes continuously into a different reality. We can not own or preserve any aspect of it.

The ‘I’ that asked this question no longer exist; that ‘I’ has changed into a different ‘I’. That ‘I’ is gone forever. Therefore, if you consider that that ‘I’ only existed for an instant equates to being unreal, then so be it.

Just as quickly as one reality ends, another one begins. Physical reality is composed of energy, which never ceases to exist; it simply converts into another form of energy.

So my question is ‘are you really disturbed about the old ‘I’ being gone forever?’

Do some reading and don't panic. Try some light philosophy and maybe some even some popular physics. Take this as your opportunity to explore. You've made an important realization that can be a start to journey of knowledge. Try Jacob Bronowski's "Origins of Knowledge and Imagination" for some insight into the physiology of perception. Let yourself wonder.

You could pinch yourself, and if it hurts, it's real. Or you could walk in front of a truck and see what happens! Where did this absurd concept of existence not existing come from? Convoluted human thought, I'd say! Does it matter that the tree is real or not, as you enjoy it's shade-giving relief and the beauty of it's foliage? Your experience of it is real! You just experienced it! That's as real as it gets! Duh?!!! The only time it's not real, is when you can walk right through it without any resistance. That would be a good test of reality!

Try some 4-way blotter. You will see what reality is truly constructed of. Unfortunately, you come down and merely remember the whispers of the utter and true knowledge that reality is fluid.

i don't quite get this question.... here goes, of course reality is real, to ask if it is, is really a contradiction of terms, you think you feel you physically do things that in tern results in consequences, reality is not just a state of mind it is physical, everything you do is reflected in reality, if reality was not real we would all have faerie wings and ride upon unicorns and be magical beings, that is fantasy ... that is Phantasmagoria ... an illusion, it is not real our daily lives where there are limitations and consequences is real that is reality.

R.E.L.A.X! reality changes constantly. The reality you knew at 3 yrs old is very different from the one you know now. Try to enjoy your experience right now instead of tearing it down.
