It`s annoying, and it turns boys into drooling pigs. It`s really disgusting.

Well, I just first wanted a really deep, thoughtful answer on this because first of all, it`s really gross and makes you look rather desperate for attention. Also, it`s a bit interesting because in the colonial days, most girls wore dressed in things that covered almost everything. It was actually considered "revealing" just to show your ankles. Weird, huh?
So, yeah, just put up your thoughts on this and please support me in telling others how incredibly wrong this is to save others from losing their pride and dignity. Thanks!

Well, thank you, first of all, for realizing that our society today is not dressing appropriately! Here are all of my reasons:
1. Young girls like to get attention.
2. Advertising and peer pressure make it seem like girls and women have to meet the "normal" that celebrities (they know who they are...)
3. The type of dolls/toys young girls is kind of questionable.(cough.....barbie.......bratz)
What kind of name is "Bratz" anyway? why do have to assume that these girls who have a "passin for fashion" are brats?
By the way, doctors say that if Barbie was a real person, she wouldn't be able top stad up because of her abnormaly large uh, chest.
4.My friend ( and myself) solemnly thinks that people just want to get attention.
Girls show off thier bodies to men, Men like it and then the women complain about having a 48 year old pig husband who is going clubbing every night to see 20 year old women in bikinis (or less?!)? Not the kind of world a thirteen year old like myself would love to see.

Well, it's not really an explainable thing. I mean the manufacturers are the ones providing the immodest articles so it can't be all their fault, but at the same time some girls choose to express themselves in a disgusting way. It is usually because of low self esteem issues. The girl might not feel very good about her body or about herself so she wears things like that.

I agree, for the moment I'll blame Britanny Spears for infuencing young girls to dress like that. ;)
Clothing for females is a big business, manufacturers know what sells. The only alternative is for parents to buy their kids clothes at less trendy stores, maybe even consignment and thrift stoes where clothes are not only more modest but a lot cheaper.

Mormon girls dress modest,and so do the guys.It is against our religion to not.We cant sware,drink alcoholic beverages,date until we are 16 and other stuff.The shoulder strap on our shirts should be at least 1 and a half inches wide,and should cover our stomaches.girls should wear 1 piece bathing suits.A lot of girls DO wear immodest clothingand it bugs alot of people.i dont think that the people that wear innapropriate clothes realize its not right.

Because they want attention so badly that they don't care how disgusting they look. They so desperately need approval that they'll get it any way they can. Even if its negative. They are not seeing the big picture. They need approval now, right now. By anyone they can get it from. It's sad. And its usually ugly.

Sadly, to get guys' attention. I think it's ridiculous. I get really cute clothing that's MODEST and still get asked out! It's also dangerous to wear immodest clothing because that's why girls are stolen off of the streets.

They want to be desirable and think dressing provocatively is the way to achieve that goal. Morality is not always given high priority in American society these days.

Because they either have a low self esteem or they are just slobs and don't care how they look....or they are starved for attention and they don't know how to get it, and last but not least they're so called parents and or guardians aren't around to correct them and guide them as to how they should present themselves, sad, and shame on them. Same goes for all these facial piercings.....they shouldn't be allowed to wear any of this so called jewelry working with the public, it's just another cry for help.

A lot of girls dress immodestly because they are desperate to attract boys. It's pitiful because they are unable to find another way to enjoy life.

Media pressure and unethical clothing manufacturers. I've seen lacy underwear sets for 7yr olds in our town centre!!!
