Why is America Eurocentric?

America constanly overshadows the contributions of Gays, blacks, asians, Jews and Native Americans!

It alsos shows contributions made by STRAIGHT, WHITE MALES!

WHERE ARE THE WOMEN CONTRIBUTIONS? I thought women invented more than FEMINISM!

Where are the GAYS?

Where are the JEWS beside Einstein?

I don't know what part of America you live in, but where I live, in the "Bay Area", multiculturalism is everywhere, and if anything, the contributions of white males are constantly overlooked by the contributions of non-white men, gays, and women, esp. women of color. And I am a woman, so of course I want to hear about women's contributions to society, but I honestly don't relate or agree with your question b/c where I live it is not true. I think in the recent past, say about 15 even 10 yrs. ago, white males were still being given more credit than other people, but now I think people are beginning to acknowledge and glorify more the social, technological, scientific, etc. contributions of homosexuals, women, and non-white men. The truth is, though, the reason why you might hear more about white males contributing and inventing is because what the non-white men and the women did contribute/invent the white men took credit for so it was not always recorded what these people invented and contributed. That's why history makes it seem like white men were the major inventors and contributors of everything, when undoubtedly they had stolen credit sometimes from the actual inventors who happened to not be white males.
