I would like to know about ancient Norse burial rituals so i can prepare for my own end.?

The reason i ask is because i believe in the Norse gods and wish to honour them when i die.

Lo there do i see my father, lo there do i see my mother and brothers and sisters, lo there do i see the line of my people back to the begining and lo do they call to me and bid me and bid me take my place among them in the halls of Valhalla.

I believe that modern Asatru are to passive in there devotion to the old gods, only a true Norse Burial will be good enough for me no matter the cost.

Well, if you want to be buried like a king, be prepared to expend a hell of a lot of money on procuring objects of gold, silver, and amber to accompany you to the afterlife, and on a longship to carry you out of this world. Also, you will need to gather at least one virgin female, preferably more, so that she can be raped by first you and then all of your male friends and then left on the ship to burn to death after it's set alight with your funeral pyre and pushed to sea.
That's sure to go over well with your family.
But, if you don't want to be buried like a king, and are OK with just being buried like a regular member of Norse society, get comfortable with the idea of having your naked body (stripped of all valuable items) pushed into a bog somewhere.
