THe Charter of the UN was created with the purpose of preventing another Hitler. THe Republicans had undermined UN by ignoring it even since the times of NIXON. It seems they want to destroy the organization that puts America eye to eye with the other nations. Call it DOMINATION DELIRIUM. The Supremacy of US above other nations even over the rules and regulations of the UN. NO WONDER THE SMALLLER COUNTRIES DONT RESPECT THE INSTITUTION SINCE WE THE CREATORS ARE NEGLETING ITS IMPORTANCE. Can you defend an institution you dont believe in? It applies the same way to Social Security, and Tax Cuts for the middle class and the Idea of "LESS INTRUSIVE GOVERMENT" promoted by SeudoConservatives.

It is not up to the US to make a better, stronger UN. The UN is an assembly of panty waists. It was formed to combat the red tide of the Soviet system. It has never worked and will not ever work unless there is a one world order. This nation should have kicked out the UN before it became planted in this country. I have all my life been against this group of nations. It has done no good in the world and has done much harm. It would be better if the USA pulled out of the UN and kicked them out of this country.
Oh by the way, take a look at Clinton's term. He never paid the bill owed by the USA to the UN. That's one way he balanced the budget. Pres. Bush had to pay it when he came into office. Don't be misled by the Demos. They are the same as the brown shirts of Germany who became the Nazi party.

If Republicans were really the old republicians they would get out ot hte UN and kick out the riff raff from America. That is the only way we can have a stronger United Nations. As we don't need the UN.

The UN is nothing more than a hot bed of spy's and a bunch of 3rd. countries looking for a hand out.Its a podium for dictators like that creep chavez from Venezuela to insult America, Kick the whole bunch out,sent them to France or No. Korea.

Good arguments. To bad people like Bush ignore it and go off creating more trouble. I notice that a lot of Americans are angry with France for using its veto about Iraq. The biggest user of the veto is the US. They have used it many many times vetoing actions against Israel. They used it to allow Pol Pot to kill mi lions in Cambodia for example. The US acts like a school yard bully.

You are presuposing that it is Ameroca's best interest to HAVE a strong UN. We & The world would be better off without 1. The League of Nations failed, the UN has failed, the concept will not work.

The UN has been about as useful as cancer since it's inception. If it was created to prevent another hitler, it has missed on many occasions.
