umm I think that considering other people's feelings is a good thing. I believe that once you let people know you're offended your life becomes better. I used to let anyone get away with anything, but then it got a lot less funny when my friends keep on joking about me having AIDS and having nothing to live for... it's like "I have feelings hello!" Just because I'm nice and all doesn't mean I have no feelings. It's not my fault for getting upset when people say horrible things to me. It's everyone else's.

I'm afraid answering this question might offend someone. The fact that you and I are breathing air is sure to offend someone. Asking your question has offended someone. Who? Politically correct a**%#@%() that's who! Some groups of people are offended by everything, except what they say, think, or do, in which case if you don't agree, you are a racists, intollerant, and a hate mongerer! These people file lawsuits, scream loudly, moan, complain, and seemigly exists without reason, except to do so. Get over it losers!!!!

If it was illegal my in-laws would be jail birds! I think some time's people are overly sensitive and should just get over things, but you can't control how people treat you. Some time's you do get offended because we are all human. There's a button on everyone that can be pushed, intentionally or not. No it should not be illegal, we'd probally all be in trouble if it was.

I dont think it should be illegal to offend someone. Some people are really touchy and get offended by absolutely everything. If you dont like what someone says then just dont listen to them.

no. but political correctness is creeping into the work place. Its still legal to have and express unpopular or conterversial opinions in this country its just not wise to do so. Your opinions can get back to your employer who can find any number of bogus causes to fire you, or to some extreamist who will harrass you and make your life miserable. The proplem is the slander and harrassment laws are weak.
Oh well.... It USED to be a free country...

That is the wonderful thing about America- what people from other countries are envious over. Freedom of religion and speech...Just keep in mind that everyone has different feelings. How boring and oppressed it would be if we were all the same. I mean, could you imagine waking up next to your ex-girlfriend no matter what you did?? he he

too many prudes in the world. and the fact that different people take things differently. so if i said hi to a random person out of the kindness of my heart, there is a 40% chance they would be offended.

Some people would like it to be illegal. Ever heard the term "politically correct?"
You can't censor people or eventually we'll end up in an Orwellian nightmare, that's what I believe.
