5th grade science fair project on creating a water vacuum. need help finding info on line for research.?

if anone has any thoughts on where I can find some research, it would be great. How it works- get a plate of water, float amilk lid w/ a wooden match in it. then light the match and cover it up w/ a glass. The water will be sucked up into the glass as the fire pulls in the air. Please help me. I've tryed many science fair pages but nothing on that.

Why don't I tell you why it happens heat expands when cools it contracts making slight vacuum

oh yeah use a candle it workes better.

Go to a pool store or contact pool equipment manufacturer.

They make underwater vacuums for the pool
