I am sure the new coach will help some. Or at least be able to stay awake during games. LOL. Look. I love Frank Robinson as much as the next true baseball fan, but the man is on the wrong side of 70. He is a little too old for the game.

That isn't all that is wrong with the Nats. They need to get rid of GM Jim Bowden who knows how to actually scout out and aquire talent.

The Nationals will be pretty much the same as they were last season. A couple years ago the Nationals were a decent team but last year the players didn't play hard for their coach. The young talent will help but the unexperience and the grind of the season will effect them. The teams young talent isn't going to be like the Florida Marlins but in the National League were the teams are weak there is a chance for the Nationals to be decent. Look for them to finish a little better than last season.

A New Coach means nothing. They need to do what the Anaheim Angels and the LA Dodgers did which was getting young talented minor leaguers while also having a young group of talented palyers in the Majors.Just look how well those teams did last year.Check out their minor leaguers. Many teams are jelous of them. The GM of the Nationals will almost never spend a boat load of money like the yankees they will try hard to spend as little money as possible while also trying to be competitive.

Let's face it, if you don't have the players it makes very little difference who is running the show. Yes, it can win you a few games over the season, but the Nationals have to start rebuilding. Frank Robinson was a decent manager, but not one that had a terrific record over his career. The Nationals should have traded Alfonso Soriano when they could have gotten something in return for him. As it was, he was a free agent and they got nothing. Its deals (or in this case no deal) like this that make me think the front office (GM) is the one that needs replacing.

well the nationals are in a very tough division with the Marlins, Mets, Braves, and Phillies and since they let Soriano just go to the cubs I don't think the streaks will be any different

well i think the only help they will get with halting the losing streaks is a healthy john patterson. besides him the rest of the staff is beyond horrendous. also, they made a huge mistake in not trading alfonso soriano last season. nationals will be in a world of trouble this season.

This team got rid of Frank Robinson. They are not even giving him the courtesy of helping the team out this year as a consultant. Bad move. They will not improve.

I think the Nationals are going to be pretty lousy and it will have nothing to do with the manager. They have no starting pitching at all.

Nationals are getting some good young players. That's what they need - but it will take time!
