starting from Delhi working our way down to Goa
Ob we will go to Agra enroute ...
Any travel routes anyone would take to include unmissible destinations !!!!
Weve planned Delhi-Agra-Bombay-Hempi-Pune Goa have i missed a major must see or location please help with routes,locations and must sees or just your own experiences xxxxx

If you have time go South and experience the state of Kerala (coast, mountains and Kovalam beach in the southern part. Thekkady wildlife refuge on the way from N.Kerala to S.Kerala.
The southern states are much more laid back.
You are going to all the tourist places in the North. It will be a hectic trip. Remember everyone is corrupt here. They only want your money. The prices which they will ask for things will be double or trip to what the Indians pay. Ask the woman what the going price for things should be. Always get three opinions especially pertaining to direction.
India are some of the best scam artist in the world. They have been practicing for 3,000-5,000 years.
The Indians will always tell you what you want to hear plus they never will tell you they do not know the answer to your question so they will make up one.
Always go to the Superintendent at the train station for any help or special requirements. They can be trusted. Be careful especially in the trains. Keep passport and money on your body. Even then they can still get it if you do not watch carefully. Do not leave bags unattended. Take a couple of locks (3 keys) with you and a bed sheet made like a sleeping bag. Make 2 or 3 copies of all your documents and Trav.checks. (An America with 33 yrs experience in India) I live in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu ( a very special mountain here and especially on full moon.)

Well, if you plan your journey by the western route from Agra to Mumbai, the famous city Jaipur is worth seeing. Places you can cover when you are in the Pune to Goa sector is Mahabaleswar and Kohlapur temple.

bhopal
has a nice openair museum (huts and stuff of different tribes)
sanchi (close to bhopal)
has a beautiful buddhist stupa, you will certainly see it on many pictures
aurangabad
there is the taj mahal of the poor
ajanta and ellora (close to aurangabad)
where you find beautiful caves with paitings (buddhist)
pune
i didnt found it very interesting there, unless you want to see oshos ashram. but i found that you get very less information if you just go on their "information tour" for all further information you need the aids test......

well there Hyderadbad which has a lot of historical monuments, and Goa which has beutiful churches, tirupati which has a very sacred temple(very famous)
