To an extent yes. Iran helped us overthrow the tailban,our justice department has been working with Iran for a while over irans artifacts. Iran has helped rebuild Afghanistan. Most of it is political posturing that we see in the media.

i read this sentence today,
"if you can make your enemy to destroy your enemy , you are the the winner".
we are un-purposely clear the road for iran to conquer iraq.
i guess bush next order will be we have to send again more troops now to avoid iran take over iraq, because those oil is mine. (bush'es), he really mean it, those oil is his, and the commoner like us (not his family) must go to war to get his oil.
and you can imagine how loong it will takes.

iran is in the same camp as n. korea, snakes dont dance, or sing, all that you get for your efforts is snake bit, iraq may have been a problem to us, but an equalising balance of power in the region, when uncle sam does leave-- its gonna hit the proverbial fan
