Do you have a particular preference as to reading Murder Mystery, Medical mystery, Horror / Occult/Magic, Adult fantasy like Elves Fairies and gnomes, Conan the Barbarian, Detective "whodunits", Westerns? If you prefer Works like Stephen King's, you may like reading John Saul's books or Dean Koontz I find those 2 very excitibg reading. But I als Like Ludlam as the best spy novelist ever and I like Jeffery Archer's books and Federick Forsyth's books. I am now reading books by Terry Goodkind. I find all of these Authors very exciting and of course I fid reading the Old testament in the Bible very good reading and realize that most authors find in there the basic groundwork for their books.. i.e. Good Versus Evil. Good luck and good reading.

I don't know if you want to stay in horror books, but if "anything goes" here are some books and recomendations: "The Doctors" by Eric Segal. The book is about the struggles and triumphs of doctors coming into practice. GOOOD read! Andrew M. Greely, a supposed former priest, has written many books that are fascinating--"Thy Brother's Wife", minus some language, is pretty good. If you haven't read "Inferno", one of three in a triology by Dante, you're missing one of the best literary classics I've ever read. Supposedly, it's a story about the author's dream of going to hell, his journey there, and the different rings--there were 9 in his dream--in which he places his friends. He has an unquelched love for a lady named Beatrice, whom, because she is so beautiful and perfect, he cannot touch in spite of the fact that she walks just a few feet above him as he looks up from hell.

Try Bentley Little if you like King, you'll like Little. I read that he was King's favorite horror writer. He is a very good author.

If you like Stephen King you will LOVE Dean Koontz. His thrillers have the macarbe, the bizarre and a good dash of humor to keep it going. You will love him.
