Sounds like you have mostly what you need for rhythm guitar. Using too many effects can just muddy up your sound and take away from your playing abilities. Work with your amp for achieving a good overall sound, and then use the selector switch on your guitar to choose which pickup is best for a song, and then also be willing to use the tone knobs on your guitar to dial in the sounds your are shooting for. It can be maddening to try to achieve the perfect sound for each song that you want to play, so just shoot for getting in the ballpark sound wise, and practice hard to capture the FEEL of the song---that's what audiences notice most, not all the glitsy effects that cost you lots of money. Trust me, I know, I've been playing for a long, long time, and I know it's what you play and how you play it more than anything sold in a box.

You don't really need to do it in order, and get the simple effect pedals ones you just set and when you step on them it would make the sound you want, its really easy and a lot of stars like the guitarist of incubus uses those kinds. Fender guitars are great for the kind of music you just mentioned.

Get a good delay and a good chorus. With a good distortion, that's all you'll need.
