I don't think I'm going out on a limb here by presuming your question is directed at the current situation in Iraq.

Did it ever occur to you that the power of a President is limited? If the Iraq mission is failing, why not blame the Iraqi government? They now have their own (trained) troops. Sure, they are an infant democracy with lots to learn, but it seems that they are not acting with much sense of urgency.

Just how is the inadequacy of the Iraqi government the fault of President Bush? The people who comprise the Iraqi government will succeed or fail based on their own determination, intellect, and hard work. Bush cannot make them work harder, or make them smarter. He can only provide some tools for them to work with, and give his guidance.

It's funny that you fault Bush for not having the god-like powers it would take to solve all the world's problems. Do you think that because he is President he has some magical wand he can use at will to fix everything?

Just as Reagan was proven correct in his strategy against the Soviets, Bush may well be vindicated once the Iraqi government gets its act together and begins to clamp down on terrorism.

Reagan and Bush share one common trait: they have a crystal clear vision, along with a plan and gritty determination to make that vision a reality.

Reagan ultimately succeeded even though most people didn't believe he could.

Have you considered the possibility you're making the same mistake with Bush?

what, as well Bush being the governor of a state on the border of Mexico and McCain being senator of a state on the border of Mexico and contained in the army for 22 years? ohhhh no longer some thing.. being a senator or a governor facilitates some overseas interplay.. yet, except you're an envoy or the President, there is not any longer going to be that "journey" in overseas coverage on the flexibility you're pertaining to.. yet what Bush and surprisingly McCain have less than their belts dealing with overseas subject matters are far more advantageous than both Hillary or Obama.. if no longer some thing else, via incontrovertible actuality that McCain and Bush have a lengthy time period extra political journey than 2 newbe Senators..

If 1 represents a total inability to either tie his own shoes or find China on the map and 10 presents having a coherent well planned foreign policiy, President Bush scores ZERO. He's off the frigging scale.

10+.

We are mired in a needless occupation overseas and the rest of the world hates us. When just after 9/11 they were all on our side.

The Middle East is destabilized and Iran and S.Korea are running around developing nukes and blowing us off. We don't even have diplomatic relations with them!

Mexico is invading us and Chavez is drilling Bush a new one each day.

And Osama is still free......!

Answering truthfully, 6, considering most of his foreign policy has been preestablished by previous presidents, if not for Iraq, his rating would have been 1, because quite frankly, that was probably not the best idea
