I feel I have to speak up for my sister as she is unable to do so herself. This is our official statement to The Guardian, all I ask is that you read it with an open mind before judging so harshly. Thank you so much.

Obviously the media attention on events in the CBB house has escalated beyond everybody's imagination and the allegations being made against Danielle for alleged racism within the house are extremely distressing for her family and her friends.

"If Danielle were aware of even the smallest elements the reaction to how the events are being interpreted she would be absolutely distraught. We maintain that Danielle is not in any way racist and we do not believe that any comments she has made within the BB house are demeaning in a racially motivated manner.

"Clearly the behaviour in the house is unpleasant and harrowing to watch. We recognise a lack of cultural understanding and immaturity in the way Danielle is behaving in this very controlled environment.

"Danielle and her close circle of friends are of so many different races, cultures and ethnic groups that they are very comfortable with their cultural differences and comfortable discussing and even joking about these differences.

"The difference and problem seems to be in the lack of social and class understanding - in Danielle's case her circle of friends are all living and have in the main, been brought up in the UK in a hugely multi cultural society where these exchanges are not considered racially demeaning and Danielle is interacting with Shilpa on the same basis.

It's necessary to address these individual comments as D can't speak for herself: When Shilpa was bleaching her facial hair a discussion began amongst the girls about facial hair and bleaching and genuine inquisitive questions were asked of Shilpa.

"Shilpa was involved in this discussion and Danielle said in a throwaway manner She wants to be white'.

"This is much the same as when Danielle's friends tease her for her love of sunbathing and her mixed race friends joke with her.

"Is it India they eat with their fingers or is that China?' - genuine question.

"I don't know where her hands have been' - this is not racially motivated, Danielle would have said this about anyone handling food with their fingers.

"F*** off home' - there was no racial undertone to this comment on Danielle's part, it was aggressive but we believe the the argument and comments which preceded this were purely based on class and social differences between the housemates.

Danielle has had a very different upbringing to Shilpa.

"F*** off home' is frequently used in a jovial fashion between young people today.

Well Isabelle, Danielle should be glad she has a sister like you.

I do not class the behavior of the three women as racist but bullying it was and no mistake. They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Your sister is not a child. She is old enough to have a family of her own. It was cringe-making to hear her whisper to Shilpa that she was young etc.She knew what to say there alright so why couldn't she have called stop to the bullying before that when she knew it was wrong. She is such a beautiful girl but her manners are awful. Her lack of thought before she speaks is sometimes pitiful and is only made worse when others laugh and encourage her as if she were a naughty puppy. If that kind of carry on is excused or condoned then it is God help us all when the next generation grows up.

If your sister had had the manners to stop Jade in her tracks during that arguement and if she had not been so chummy with the other two then I think she would probably won the contest...or whatever it is called. God love her, she seems like a little girl at times and I would love to talk sense into her and then I would wonder how she managed to get herself into such a bad spot...then I would think...why bother. All of the housemates went in there for the fame and the money and the least they should have done was to bring their manners with them.

Had I been her sister I would have done my best to change her mind about going in there in the first place. Money is not the be-all and end-all of everything.

She is going to be shocked when she hears how her actions were viewed. I didn't feel one bit sorry for Jade Goodie and her tears because I know she was thinking about her future. As for the woman called Jo....she couldn't have cared less. To tell the truth I will feel sorry for Danielle because if she has to leave the house alone she will be scared, but I will remind myself that it would be another side of her that we would see if she had her two other friends with her.

I agree with Jo when she said that it is impossible to like everyone (Shilpa said the same thing) and if there is a clash of personalities then so be it, no matter what creed or colour we are, Just because we are different doesn't mean we HAVE to get on ...But...there is no excuse in the whole world for being a bully.

I think the whole racism thing was blown out of all proportion. It is a pity it was not called bullying and as much fuss created about that. Many young people have been bullied to death...literally.

F**k off home is frequentley used in a jovial fashion these days by young people. Er sorry, you are speaking for all young people and you are wrong. You and your family may well use that sort of language but mine don't. Where do you people come from. It's a bit like your sister when she was mouthing off on BB. She did not speak for the country either. I am afraid it is too late to come on here making excuses for your sisters foul mouth and disgusting manners. How old did you say she was? Was it 4 or 14. She has blown it and she knows it. You only have to look at the comments all over the Internet and Yahoo to know her fate is sealed. Tell her that her P45 is in the post and she has to sign on for her stamp now she is out of work.

Danielle has done nothing to endear herself to the public or to promote her public image. She has behaved in a racist and bullying manner, there is no doubt and talking like a common guttersnipe has further lessened the publics opinion. Clearly she has embarrassed her boyfriend and has bought this whole unfortunate incident u[pon herself. Shilpa has behaved in nothing other than a kind, forgiving and dignified manner throughout..it would be impossible to keep up a charade for such a long time, what you see is what you get. Despite everything Shilpa has endured her beauty shines through and i don't only mean physicaly!!

Come on... Young and naive she may be but she knows whats right and whats wrong... I'm 23, abit younger than her and I'd have known that behaviour was wrong looking at it as a 15 year old!!!
Yeah, fair enough, she's your sister (maybe, you could be anyone for all we know) so you know her far more than anyone does and you know whats out of character for her and what isn't etc... but still you are looking at the situation from a clouded angle... if you were a total outsider like myself, non bias in any way and not involved...and you heard her say "That was brilliant that... that made my day!" - in response to Jade really laying into Shilpa when there was no need whatsoever (over oxo's.. hello!?) Then would you consider her to be a nice person deep down if she thought a bullying and taunting moment against another person was brilliant and 'made her day' ?? ... I think not!

xx

In answer to your actual question and not the rest of the book - no.

I also notice that in all your little defending statements for each of her disgusting comments, you fail to acknowledge the laughter throughout Jade's horrendous attacking of Shilpa followed by Danielle saying that it had "made her day." Or have you not yet thought up any good enough reasons to explain why you think she isn't a fowl-mouthed bully?

Anyway, if I was really Danielle's sister, I certainly wouldn't be bothering to come on here of all places trying to talk to a load of people I don't even know. Please...

I must be really grown up then because i would never tell someone to f u c k off home. Your sister is worse than a racist, she is a total sheep who hasn't got the balls to stand up when someone is being victimised. I felt sorry for your sister when she was in take a break telling her story about her violent ex, but now this shows she is no better than him (in fact worse because everybody knows that physiological bullying is far worse).

The only time I have been told to f**k off home was when I was being racially abused (I moved to Scotland when I was 7) so don't try to say its a laugh. What about Danielle saying Shilpa just wanted to be white? Or is that just going to be ignored.

Danielle has shown her self to be a pathetic little b**ch who cant stand up for herself. Good luck with trying to have a career now.

Mind you we should have expected it what with the Miss UK debacle i.e. sleeping with a judge and getting her boobs out.

Hi

I've not really watched cbb but can't help seeing all the fall out on news.

I think all three girls have been given a raw deal. Yes their behaviour was not nice at the time but I reckon being cooped up with the same people 24/7 would cause friction.

CBB did not have to show this footage, I'm sure with 24 hours of footage to choose from they only chose to show this to get viewers.

I've heard on this site that certain people have been callled white trash - nothing much has come of that?

guess bb will have to take some of the blame and learn from
this if they want their show to carry on being successful.

us young people do not use **** off home and Danielle was just sticking up for Jade and Jo because they are more famous than her and just wants to be more famous for the money and the fame obviously. Jo was in S Club 7 and Jade was already a big other contestant so people know them more well in the UK. Sometimes being a girl i know that a lot of other girls can be right stuck up each others arses and they always do what the other girls do and when they see someone being bullied we immediately go for the stronger side it really depends on who it is.

I have been watching BB and for my mind the bullying that has been carried out by your sister, jo, jade and jack was disgusting and whilst i don't think that Jade was racist the comments made by Danielle and Jo in the lounge were, there is no getting around this, simply put the conversation the two of them had was racist.

my problem with jo and Danielle is the way they kept supporting jade in her vitriolic tirades against Shilpa , this behaviour is whats making Britain crap to live in because the younger generation always huddle in gangs egging each other on and have no sense of other peoples feelings only themselves.when jo was asked about other people she said i dont care about them , not my problem . sorry jo and danielle but the way they supported jade meant they were as bad as jade . i like to give people a fair chance in life i hope they will too from now on .i hope jo ,Danielle and Jade gain a fresh perpective on life that cares for the feelings of people on the outside of their circle.
