Depends on the breed. Draft mares are 11 months minus 4-7 days. Most smaller breeds are right around 11 months.

Roughly 11 months. A bit more accurately, 340 days. Not very often will a mare deliver right on her due date.
My mare almost went a full 12 months. She was actually one week shy and delivered fine. Other mares may go weeks early Just start watching as she starts "bagging" up, the filling of the udder with milk. She will do this about a month before and you can start checking the color of the milk by squeezing a little into your hand. It will change color and consistancy 24 hours before she foals.

Give or take 11 months. and what a long 11 months it is! I'm waiting for my mare to have her first foal in June and it seems to be taking forever! lol, and being her maiden year she will probably go longer than 11 months. veteran mothers usually around 11 or a little less, but most mares are almost 11 months but not quite.

about eleven months but watch out some like to foal early and some like to foal really late you are best watching the signs with mares they can be unpedictable. they will have white stuff on the bottom of their teats and the end of their butt will become very loose and the baby will drop down farther and the mom will get milk but definatly look for the white stuff the mare shouls ahve the baby with in 24 hours or so

The average horse's gestation period is regularly 11 months, though it is normal for them to have them a bit early or late, too.
