You receive a Social Security Number shortly after birth, every thing you do after that is tracked by your Social Security number. With your Social Security number you can be tracked as soon as you establish an address, credit, utilities, School records and any agency with your name and date of Birth can track your every move. Get over it, it is not something that started recently!

Agreed.

With the modern computer data age, cell phones that monitor your calls' destination, location and time, new automobiles with GPS tracking and unique data transmission, the IRS, the Social Security Administration, banks, debit and credit card companies, private and public credit reporting agencies, etc...etc.....
Any argument presented on the premise of "personal information" violation or the potential for abuse aren't really very valid arguments, are they? The data is already readily available to any crook with a computer and enough intelligence to press the right keys.

The use of the social security number as an identification number is in direct violation of federal law.

have you seen a social security card?

I could make one on my computer at home in like 5 minutes... and you couldn't tell the difference... it's pretty simple... especailly older ones...no picture... just a name and number...

if it's a fake number with a fake name... tracing it doesn't help

Have you read anything about how much information is available about you online? It is not a conspiracy theory to be concerned about personal information becoming available to crooks and nosy people.
