the reason y people say that they are UGLY b/c either they hear it at home or at skool from the kids who think that they are better than everyone!!! well people tell me that I'm ugly n i always tell tell them to take a look n tha mirror there on self

They just want people to say..
Awww, no, you're not ugly. Everything will be OK...
they want sympathy, and use that to gain some type of gratification for low self esteem.

That means either one of two things
Either they have a low self esteem.
Or, the call themselves ugly to fish for compliments. So, they´ll call themselves something so that their friends can deny it and start complimenting them

They're either fishing for compliments, they have a low self-esteem, or because their face looks like a butt. That's all I can think of. What else could it be? Maybe they want somebody to buy them make-up or a halloween mask.

I know what you mean. I think they do that because they are insecure about themselves, want attention, or need some confidence from someone else saying "oh no way!" All of them kinda make me sick though. I wish people would be content with who they are!

I say it, not to get compliments (mostly) but because I compare myself to everyone. Im overwieght.. thats my main thing. And even though my skinny friends say im not fat, i feel differently. It is low self esteem. My family didnt help much with that.

Low Self-Esteem. They see people on TV and Magazines and feel that they need to look like them in order for others to notice them or desire them.

They are trying to get attention, and get people to be like No your not, dont say that! Those people just need to learn.
