It was a score that came about from a combination of tight bowling but some very poor strokes, and also was not aided by the fact the confidence of the English side is as low as ever.

A number of batsmen were out to rash strokes or poorly selected strokes - Loye, Strauss, Bell, Joyce, Collingwood. Loy's technique needs to be refined. Yes he has the slog sweep, but if you look at his normal approach he has 2 backlifts, and this will always make him late on the ball. Strauss and Collingwood are both low on confidence and perhaps need a break.

Poor old Liam Plunkett seems to be suffering from teh same fate that hit Jimmy Anderson a year or 2 ago - he has spent so much time on this tour just watching games that he was very underprepared for this game. Duncan Fletcher and the England board need to look at this problem as they have too many players that go on tour and do not play a game, and also miss out on playing county cricket, and watch their form just evapourate.

its disgraceful, I'm an Aussie who loves seeing Australia win but MAN! England's got to put some respectable scores up on the board and make the game competitive with Australia. pple who are going to watch the cricket live aren't getting their money's worth either! lol they had to leave about 3 and hours earlier or something.
