I hate it. I am not "emo" or "goth", but I've been labeled that before usually by the people that don't even know me. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE JUST GET PAST THESE STUPID LABELS? We are humans. We should not be labeled, especially by people who don't even know what they're talking about.

omg i hate that!!! stereotypes are stupid WE ARE ALL THE SAME ON THE INSIDE! just b/c someone wears something different doesnt mean that they should be labeled and singled out or put in a group! sometimes it is almost like people act like "emo" is a different species, same with "goth", "prep", etc. it's ridiculous and i wish people would stop judging others.

i dont like labels either...when someone refers to an 'emo kid' i think of it as style wise..it works for the most part. same for 'geeks' and whatever else

I think it's funny. Can those kids really dress and act like that and not expect us to think it's humorous? Labels aren't going anywhere, we might as well have a good time with them.

I think labels are really unfair because they have made being emo into the same thing as cutting your wrist. which is not right

stupid, no one should be labeled. What's the point? Everyone is equal and some people worship jocks for being them and tease geeks for doing what they like. STUPID S**T!

I think it's fine. It has been associated with a negative connotation but what it was originally meant to mean is just someone who gets emotional. Not that they are cry babies just emotional in any way - it could be rage.
