I have run a 25ft, auger through it, and put three bottles of "Cobra" sulfuric acid in it. Still nothing, The pipe is around 60 ft long, it has been three days. The vent appears to be ok, (I tried to flush the pipe with a water hose and it came flowing off the roof!) Any ideas? Anyone? Please?

Besides the obvious of calling Roto-Rooter, you may want to check with your local sewer company....it is possible that the clog is outside of your pipes and is actually in the city pipes. They should come out and examine the city's end of the pipe at no cost to you.

There is a Draino product made specifically for kitchen sinks, it is supposed to help break up grease.

Also, you'll be suprised by how effective a grade school science project can be. Try making a heavy paste with baking soda and just enough water to make it "flow" then pour some vinegar down. Use a ton of it, it won't damage anything and doesn't involve any harsh chemicals. Doing this once a week or every other week in the future can help prevent clogs before they start.

Good Luck!!

Just a question, why would you run 25 feet in a 60 foot pipe, the sulfuric acid didn't work because the clog is too far away. You don't state the type of pipe, you can drill a hole where your snake left off, if there is no other access; probably by the time you get done, you could have paid roto-rooter, get an estimate, first and be sure to tell them there is acid in the pipe. Do Not mix any other chemicals in the drain! Stand away from the other answers!

Sounds like you still have a clogg in the pipe. You will probably have to push it all the way to the street or use a cutting tip on the end of the snake. You might try using the auger at the clean out which is located outside. Direct it towards the street if that doesnt work try it the other direction then back again towards the street. 25 feet really is not long enough to chase the clogg from your pipes.

Is it just the sink? or the house sewer?

Follow the pipe to the sewer...there should be a opening that be used to auger from down the line.

Get an extention for the auger. Plug exhaust vent on roof and pressurize system. Try vacumming the system with a shop vac after plugging vent on roof well..

If you have a municipal sewer line it may be in the citys line, of wich it might be there responsability. Could be a crushed pipe

man, that's one tough clog. My idea would be to call a professional in, warn them you've put the acid in there though, as it could be hazardous if they get it on them.
