only if it's within a certain amount of days within taking the contract out- it's around about 14-16 days cooling off period. After that you're stuck with it.

Alternative is to pay the penalty and be rid of the contract. Could cost too much- read the small print in the contract.

Most cell phone plans give you a thrirty day cancel option. If you want to cancel after that, there will be an early cancellation fee, usually about $250, to cancel before your contract period expires. Be certain that your contract does not have an auto-renew clause as well. Some contracts include this.

It depends on the provider truthfully. Some companies are more leanient than others. I have gotten out of a contract by using the "I never get a signal where I need it" type of phrase. This worked with my Verizon account. I had to talk to a few people but it got me out of paying $200 for cancellation.

there is one way but it involves checking all of your past paper work. check to see if ur contract provider has made any changes to the original that you signed, any changes, including those that may have got u a better deal still fall under breach of contract rules. if you should find any contact ur service provider stating ur greivances, should they still be unwilling to cancel ur contract, just tell them that u will b seeking legal advice at first opportunity, this usually shakes them into action!
