I'm not sure what category to place this question in but I thought government was most relevant. Anyway, I live in Los Angeles. Where can I go or what number can I call? I tried googling it but came up with nothing. Can anyone help me?

Either go to your local SSA office or go here...
www.ssa.gov

You need to go to the nearest Social Security Administration Office and take your original birth certificate and some other form of original document. DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT send anything to the SSA through the mail that is original as they will lose it. Call and make an appointment and go down there with your documents and get a new card. It is really that simple to do, but it is time consuming, as is everything else dealing with the government.

Look in the phone book under "Federal Government" and find the nearest Social Security office. They may ask for a birth certificate, so be prepared.

Here is a good starting point... its the Social Security Administration web page. http://www.ssa.gov/reach.htm When you go to get a replacement make sure that you have a valid ID and your birth certificate... also... be prepared to wait in line for a long time. :)

Call your local social security office, visit them online, or go into the office closest to you and request a copy. You will need to provide your birth certificate and a picture ID to verify that you are who you are claiming you are.
