So far what I have seen they sell these remedies which seem reasonably priced until you look at the dosing.

Does anyone have comparison results with placebo? I suspect that a good part of this may be the body healing itself.

For an official answer, check out the website of the NACM (National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine), that is part of NIH (National Institutes of Health). I posted the link below. The page has links to placebo-controlled studies.

Bottom line: A few studies showed that the studied homeopathic medicine was better for the condition than placebo, but most studies showed that there was no difference.
Unfortunately, there are only very few really good studies.

Did you hear about the homeopathy patient who forgot to take her medicine and died of an overdose?

That's about the size of it. When anything is diluted as much as homeopathic "medicine" is, you end up with pure water (if you're lucky) which might contain *one molecule* of the supposed medicine! Use your own brain and ask yourself if this is anything more than an expensive placebo - honestly.

As for "water memory", apparently no concept is so absurd that some people won't believe it anyway. If water has a memory, that means it remembers everywhere it's been, including your last bout with diarrhea.

The only reason homeopathy is found at the NIH is thru the influence of one misguided senator whose name escapes me but which you could find online easily enough.

No real scientist or doctor - the people who actually work and study for years to learn their professions - takes homeopathy or any other insane newage "treatment" like "healing touch" (which isn't even touch but only hand-waving) seriously.

Millions of people may believe in them, but millions of people can be and frequently are dead wrong about all kinds of things.

Hey Shaman, congratulations on surviving cancer. You were on the good end of the statistical curve. Now you have to find something for your conspiracy-itis that seems to have tied your brain into little paranoid knots. Sounds like you've been reading too much Kevin Trudeau, eh?

AND my frein zoei got kicked by my mustang in the arm and it was imideatly brusied and she took 4 of the small tablets every 10 min and the barn owner jeanie put some natural creams on it and she took some brusing tablets , pains ones and swelling ones and by the time she left which was about 20 min later it loooked better and she said she didnt feel as much pain.
i also burnt my hand once when i was stirring carmel

Some people have said it works wonders and others have not. I think it works for some things but not for everything.

I am part of a great discussion on it at http://medsocial.com/cs/forums/625/ShowForum.aspx. Would love it if you wanted to join.
