In all the summer theatre productions I've been involved in, they rehearse both day and night.

By definition, if you're in a "repertory" company, you're generally cast in more than one play. In my experience, rehearsals go throughout the day, and into the evening. Once one of the shows opens, the others continue rehearsing during the day, with the evening hours being devoted to performances.

If you're talking about summer stock theatre productions in general, then they hold rehearsals day and evening times. (If you're talking about a specific theatre called Summer Rep, then I don't know.)
