Clinique has their 'almost makeup' sheer stuff and some other stuff which is 'highlighting'. I kind of want something like that, that won't make me look so pale! I want something where my skin colour won't matter (cause i tend to never find my exact skin colour). I want something super sheer, so it's natural, and will let my rosey cheeks glow! I want something to make me glow, but not in the oily-face kind of way. I want something that will work with bronzer & blush! I want something designed for us active girls. I want it to also help me combat shine but not be too matte. My skin has been breaking out a lot in the past year.. so I need something to help with that if possible! I just need advice on the make-up bit!

Stay away from store brands like Cover Girl, Maybelleine....I cant even remember all the names because I quit buying them years ago. Store brands are mainly water and oil. A professional line like Clinque, Lancome, Estee Lauder has the right combinations you need and while they may seem more expensive, its worth it in the long run.

I have been using Mary Kay since I was 16 and a consultant since I was 22. The Time Wise collection is great. For blemish control the Velocity line contains salisilic acid, which is used in acne treatments. I dont actively sell to gain revenue, I only buy my alotment to get my 50% off discount. Go to www.marykay.com and find you a local consultant and schedule a skin care appointment. If you like the line, invest $100 to become a consultant and you can stock up a few times a year on your yearly supply at wholesale prices (50% off retail)...or once you find your perfect shade, buy everything on E-bay. Just know what the retail prices are and make sure you dont pay more than they are worth wholesale with shipping included.

To prevent break outs, make sure you are using a face wash every day twice a day and removing your make up before bed. Stress and diet can be factors as well as your hormones.

Over the years Ive used Lancome and it was too cakey. MAC was one of my faves, Clinique was ok, but didnt give me the coverage I wanted, to me it was too light, so that may be what you prefer as you mentioned. The most important thing is go into the store and have a make over done. Let the consultant find your perfect shade. You dont have any obligation to buy anything...you are just testing the product to see if its what you like. Some counters may have a minimum purchase required, so make sure you know before you sit down.

The most important thing is skin care...cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize. Eye make up remover is a must as well if you wear mascara.

I cant recommend an exact brand with out seeing your skin tone. But, if you favor Clinique, set up an appointment for a make over. Try several lines before picking just one. But stay away from the store brands you would find in a grocery store or Wal-Mart.

Hi,
It sounds like you would like Bare Minerals. It is very sheer and silky to the touch. It covers beautifully but doesn't look or feel like a mask and there is never a line. There are lots of foundation choices so matching isn't a problem and they have highlighters but if you use the mineral veil you probably won't even need one. It just looks like beautiful skin. I've used it for over 4 years and have tried almost everything out there and its a really great product.

I use and prefer Dream Matte Mouse Foundation by maybelline , it is so softand creamy and light and it makes my skin super smooth. And The Dream Matte Mouse also makes bronzer, blush and eyeshadow. You should really try this stuff.

Try Merle Norman or Prescriptives. A little pricey but very good makeup and not hard on the skin. If you go to one of their counters/stores they will show you exactly what you should be wearing.

my foundation is a light reflective one, its anti fatigue and illuminates my face to give me a lussh complexion, if its not meant for that purpose, then it may be too runny :S use a little powder over the top to create a matte look and to reduce shine, this will also set the foundation in place for the day ahead
