How long have you been together, and after all this time is Valentine's Day still a special day or has it become just a regular day?

Good question. We've been together going on 8 years. It is still a special day for us but we have become very reserved and private in all of our holidays. We no longer clamour to get out to eat with the crowds, we won't shop while everyone else is shopping or buy things that normally get purchased. With the exception of flowers. Flowers are a must for Valentines Day. For us we try to live like every day could be a holiday or a special occassion.

25 years, still very much in love, more in love today than we were the day we got married. And no, we don't celebrate Valentine's Day, for one thing, it's my parents' anniversary, and we just feel like every day is special, and you should take the time each day to remind the person you love that you love them. We don't need a day on a calendar to do something thoughtful or loving for one another, it means more when you do something just because, not just because it's a certain day. We both think it's more thoughtful, and more of a surprise, to send flowers, or give each other a card when we're not expecting it, part of the romance is the surprise. We both feel that it's better to do something because the feeling comes from your heart and you want to instead of doing it because you feel like you're supposed to.

As a side note to the young lady who said after a while people grow out of love, that's not true, love gets stronger and deeper with time, it just gets better and better every day, and if it doesn't, then there wasn't real love there to begin with.

I been married for almost 15 yrs. Valentine is not that big deal any more because we have kids and things come along.

However, any day is a valentine day if you feel that love you and for one and another. Sitting together watching a movie or have a chat with one another at breakfast is a specail quality time tog.

When you tog for a long time......more things are important than Valentine day..........Do you love your spouse any less than the day before or after Valentine day?

Hope it help you with the question that is on your mind.

We're married for 25 years so that's long- we still buy or do little things for each other without any reason- just because at that moment we thought of each other. Valentines for us is everyday- we don't wait for that day to show how much we love each other, now I must say that on that day we do wait until our daughter is asleep and we take the wine bottle and cheese to our room and we put music and dance until the wine is finished. So you see if you show how much you love your partner everyday with the little things life is much-much colorful and meaningful.

everyday shd be valentines day ! shd never give in to commercial days where ppl make suckers out of us hiking prices etc have your own special day if u feel everyday cant be valentines. i think its a very kiddy thing. mature couples and relationships have deeper meaning then just going around prooving to friends that i got a bigger gift then you on valentines or i had a dinner at a posh-er place then u etc. good luck

We've been together for 2 years, and the best way to put it - every day is special, it has nothing to do with what date is on the calendar.

19 years and valentines day is getting more special as the years roll by. We are renting a hotel room this year and usually its just another day.

Married 10 years and valentine's day is for the kids. We buy them candy and cards. As an adult I don'y see the point unless you are newly dating.
