Ok...so I have teacher who is a cold hard BETCH...anyway I'm trying to find primary sources (online) about James Madison...any ideas as to where I should go...
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...i had 2 ideas already and both were shot down by my teacher...she doesnt want wikipedia...answers.com, online encyclopedias/dictionaries, or other websites similar to those.

PLEASE HELP!

yeah this lady wants primary sources from the internet...on a guy who wasnt even alive when the internet came into play...its starting to tick me off...shes wants
"one scholarly website, one web based primary source and one scholarly book"

I did try the white house page...i sent my teacher an email and she said that is not a primary source

For you to consult Primary sources , You need to consult the papers and publications by James Madison. I'd start with an old style book, a biography.to give you his life and background. Then as he was a President look at materials that might be available on line from the Library of Congress and the National Archives. Some of his materials in them may have been digitized and on line.
Other mateerials would be Federialist Papers which I belive he helped write and materials written about him by contempery people. I hope you can take a bit of advice from a OLD man.

Try some official government web sites. All of them end in .gov.

Is the teacher requiring online sources? I know it's old school these days, but you can likely get much better and more complete info by running down to your local library.
