I have a problem with my ankle, area, everyday, by the time I'm at school for about an horur, my ankles are all dry, and chapped, I apply lotion every night, and every morning before I leave, but nothing. Does anyone have any brands of lotion, or home made remedies?

Your first step should be to exfoliate the dry skin on your ankles before you lotion up. Either in the shower, or when you get out, use a loafa sponge or glove and soap up and scrub the area till the dry skin is gone. Then apply your lotion. Your skin is hydrated right out of the shower so when you lotion up then it tends to last longer. I really like Neutragena for a lotion on tough dry areas like that. It's used by the US Coast Guard, and we all know how bad their hands must be being in the water so much. Another nice way to exfoliate and moisturize skin is to make your own salt scrub. You can get all kinds of recipies for them online. Just type in recipie for salt scrubs. I use coarse sea salt and almond oil as the basis, adding citrus or peppermint scent to it for aroma. Could be eczema. You need to use something that protects the skin, like Eucerin, or Aquaphor. My daughter has eczema, which start as dry patches, and my doctor said that some lotions are actually drying, and you have to keep reapplying to counteract that. She recommended the brands I mentioned above, which put a protective coating on the skin, to help prevent moisture loss.

Skin so soft in a bath or baby oil as soon as you get out of the shower/tub-let it soak
