STOP USING THE MOUSE. STOP USING THE KEYBOARD.

YES.

YOU CAN DO IT.

There are hundreds of keyboard shortcuts for actions that many people use the mouse. For example, when scrolling through a list box to find an item, may people use the scroll bars to navigate to the item needed. However, all you have to do is tap the first letter of the item and the computer takes you to that part of the list.

The e-Speaking Voice and Speech Recognition software allows you to create voice macros where you can assign a voice command to specific keyboard actions. You can even move and operate the mouse by voice.

As to the mouse issue try using a pad that has a wrist supportive hump in it, as I do myself, this helps prevent the pain and stress that results in carpel tunnel syndrome. Any long term repetitive motion of the wrist can cause this condition, and if it persists then try a wrist support/brace at night when you sleep.

I doubt you are getting RSI from the mouse.

But if you are concerned, try learning some keyboard shortcuts to do more of what you need using the keyboard and less using the mouse. for exampole using ctrl-C to copy text, or alt-spacebar then C to close a window.

Do a Google on keyboard shortcuts.

It may even be the way you are holding your shoulders - tightening in your shoulder muscles can put strain on your wrist and that may be why you are experiencing discomfort. If you have an adjustable computer chair, try raising or lowering it so that your hand rests comfortably on the mouse.

Repetitive motion can cause permanent injury, especially computer mouses.
