Assuming a standard 4-point scale, where
4.0 = A,
3.0 = B,
2.0 = C,
1.0 = D, and
0.0 = Failing

Then you'd have high B- grades.

If you are on a 4 point scale it goes as follows:
D - 1 point
C - 2 points
B - 3 points
A - 4 points
So, a 2.9 would be almost a B - a very high C average.

I hope this helps.
