Such as a crystal and a metal cross. Would you find pieces in with the ash?
This is a VERY SERIOUS question.

You could possibly find pieces of it in the ashes. Ashes from bodies which have been creamated have been found to contain small pieces of bone and sometimes teeth. The harder materials do not always turn to ash.

Unfortunately, I learned this from experience when scattering my father's ashes after he was creamated.

Sometimes, the things that were left with the body get cremated also. It always differs. Probably, if you get the fire to a high enough temperature, everything will burn. There are some cases were you end up having some pieces of things that you left with you to be cremated. Most of the time, everything that you left with the body gets cremated. (nice name, i used to have a friend named Kat in 5th grade. =D)
