It's not expanding in to anything at all.
Its misleading to try and think of a shape - the expanding universe accounts for all there is - its not expanding in to anything - if you can imagine it being curved in a 4th spatial dimension - that would mean if you went off the 'edge' you'd appear on the opposite side.
The big bang theory is misleading because it doesnt actually say anything about the origin. Its an inflationary model, little more. If you want to look at how and what might have 'banged' you could look at the ekpyrotic model which is to do with an impact between different universes.
If you're interested in the Big Bang read Hawking's brief history of time. It helps to visualise the game asteroids if you're old enough but its hard to describe without visual aids.

i remember hearing this theory that the universe ultimately came from a big explosion (big bang theory) so ever since that time the universe has expanded... and like all explosions it reaches a point where it no longer expands but starts to implode.
so according to this theory the universe will at one point start to implode and compress back into what it once started as.
but to answer your question.. i have no clue and i dont think anyone else does... lol
maybe there are more then one "universes".....

The universe is not really expanding because it was formed into a containment. Basically what is expanding is the motion of the galaxies( See hubell"s constant)
So its galaxies which have gained excessive mass that are moving away(expanding) not the Universe. This occurs in order to maitntain rotatioanal energy equilibrium.

"Our Universe may be compared to a bubble.... floating in a much larger arena, the NIRVANA of eleven-dimensional hyper-space " Taken from Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku. He suggests that beyond our universe is an ocean of other universes...constantly springing forth and bubbling around each other.

I would refer this question to the Relgious and Spirituality section as there are many Atheists there who would without doubt know/have an answer for this question. :)
As for me, I believe beyond the universe lies the Creator of the universe, that being God! :)

It is called "Nothingness." There is nothing. It's not even vacuum, just nothing.
