what kind of exercises should i do? im three months, overweight, and i never exercise. how should i start out? how often? i have a gazelle, is that good? and can i use weights for my arms?

I was told not to let my heart rate get above 140 bpm because it can cause irregularities in the baby's heartbeat. Walking is good, yoga...things like that. If you're going to do the gazelle make sure you're not pushing yourself. Keep it light. Being overweight and pregnant stinks but don't try to lose weight either. Wait till after the baby arrives to start focusing on losing weight. It can be dangerous when pregnant. I'm overweight with this pregnancy (or was pre pregnancy) so it's killing but in a few days I can start to think about diets and losing weight (I'm due on Monday!) Hang in there! Good luck!

Walking is the best exercise. go for about half hour a day. You can use weights. Just about any exercise is better than none. I would talk to your caregiver about your specific situation. I use the stability ball, walk and ski machine.
