1.clean the area you are going to wax ( wash your hands also)
2.put wax on the area you wish to wax (be careful! you don't want to get wax on the part that is supposed to stay on.)
3. take the cloth that comes with your wax kit and place it on the waxed area. Rub the cloth going the opposite direction your hair grows in (don't rub too hard, it might spread the wax)
4.take a deep breath and pull the cloth quickly in the opposite direction the hair grows in.
5. sometimes some cool water on a face cloth makes the brief pain fade quicker.
6. do not put any make up on right away and try not to touch them too much ...the oils in your hands and make-up might clog pores and give you zits
7.use the tweezers to get the stays you probably missed
I like to get the warm wax kits ...just be sure to read the instructions CAREFULLY!! especially with the warm waxes , you don't want to burn your self
Good Luck !
( sometimes it is easier to just go to a salon to get them done.. you don't have to think about the shape and all the sanitary elements that go along with it.)

Don't try this at home if you've never done it before...you might end up missing an eyebrow. See an esthetician to have it done at least a couple of times.
She'll swab your brow area with a disinfectant and apply a warm beeswax mixture to the areas where you want to get rid of hair. The wax is allowed to cool slightly. You are asked to relax your facial muscles and not tense (makes it hurt worse). She'll hold your skin taut with one hand and with the other she quickly pulles the wax strip off. It stings a bit, only slightly more painful than pulling off a bandaid. How you perceive this depends on your pain threshold and how used to the procedure you are. It DOES become less painful. I rather enjoy having it done, actually. My makeup just never looks "done" if my brows are all overgrown. For $10 or $15 every 4-6 weeks you can look just a little more polished 24/7, with or without makeup.
Anyway, she'll finish by touching up any stray hairs with a pair of tweezers, applying lotion and, if you want, applying a bit of cover-up makeup to hide the redness. Takes 5-10 minutes. Between visits to your esthetician, just pluck the stray hairs and keep it tidy. When you can't keep up with the strays anymore, it's time for another visit. Once you become more comfortable with it, you can try waxing yourself. Don't go nuts the first time you try it yourself; stay far away from the main part of your brows and just practice applying the wax.
Good luck!

It basically rips the hair out by the root. It hurts, but only for a second. And the hairs eventually come back less and less. I had mine done at a salon the first time, but I do the upkeep at home with Sally Hansen wax strips. Just cut 'em the shape you want (hold the cut strips to your eyebrows before unpeeling it to make sure it's the shape you want!). It's easy... and less painful than plucking if you have a lot of hairs.

waxing is GREAT.
haha
and its only like $10 to get in done
most hair salons or nail salons will do it for you
and it takes all of 5 minutes.
DONT do it at home, because honey, no one wants f*ed up eyebrows.
if youre JUST worried about a few stray hairs here and there, get some tweezers and pluck those bad boys! BUT if you have thick brows, for the first time at least, go to the salon so they can shape them for you. After that, they will be easier to maintain if you want to do them at home.
And if for some reason you decide to venture out for the first time and do them yourself, please do yourself a favor and get a stencil.
Good luck!

dude, this is how it works. you walk into a salon or nail shop and they are mostly asian nice asian atmsophere and if your scaried drag along your sister l(ike i did) You sit down the wax isn't hot at all and bada biggge bada boom your out with a nice pretty face. you will love it it will make your face look all bright. the second or third time, it actuall feels tingly and nice, but its more effective that shaving, or plucking. oucchiies. but yea, make sure you have permission.
plucking sucks if you have a lot of hair. the only bad thing about waxing is don't make it too thin. or else it looks bad and threading HURTS so don't do it. plus it looks bad and bad. so don't
--good luck.

An cosmetician will smear hot (but not too hot) wax on the hair you want removed. Then press special paper to the wax, pull your skin tight and rip it off. It sounds worse than it hurts.

I have my eyebrows waxed when necessary. Its hot wax (feels nice), cloth placed on top (tickles), then gets ripped off your face (makes you want to poke yourself in the eye cause it hurts so friggen much), and then you are pretty =)

Honey let me tell you, waxing anything works very well. My girls and I get ours done all the time. IT works but eventually they will grow back. Also you have to get a good person to do them!

Eyebrow tweezing isn't painful until eventually you get down in the route of the lid quite than the forehead. top lip tweezing is painful! acquaintances say they prefer waxing because it is all achieved directly.
